Good morning! What great weather we are having. I've been working with the studio door open, so the dog (Annie) can go in and out as she wants, and the weather is gorgeous. Makes you want to paint outside.
If you want to paint inside, remember that we have the classroom at Hobby Lobby every Thursday, and you are welcome to come and paint there. We have a pretty good group going, and it's exciting to have other artists to bounce things off. And...if you run out of paint, canvas, or whatever, you can just step out into the store and complete your inventory. Lots easier than cranking up your car and driving the 8 or so miles to Humble just for a tube or Alizarin Crimson.
This is my last Prez Sez for my term of office. I have had the support of a board that is absolutely fantastic! Full of self-starters, the board is the lifeblood of KAS. They are always on top of things and ready to jump in and fill a need.
Sally Kullman, your new president, will do the same fantastic job she has done as chairman of the art shows and competition. She and 'Sine have gotten show presentation down to a science, and I know that Sally will be a wonderful president.
If you haven't been to a meeting for a while, you have missed some marvelous demos. Pat Wheeler is behind their arrangement, and I feel sure that she will be bringing even more wonderful artists in the months to come.
See you at the May meeting.
