NOTES: Pat Wheeler would like to put our feelers for a missing sweater. She thinks she left it at the last general Meeting (April) and was wondering if anyone picked it up for her? It is a white, grey and black sweater with a leaf/vine pattern. If you know the where the sweater might have wandered off to, please contact Pat. Thank you!

The Prez Sez ...

Hello, everyone. It's beginning to look like SPRING! Rah! Go out and find some inspiration in our gorgeous wild flowers. They are beautiful every year with a profusion of colors that never clash.

Remember, I must have your LSAG entry by April 9. I will send the entry summary and the money in on April 10. I've been typing entries on an Excel grid, so I will be ready as soon as the day comes. Our board meeting is late this month, (April 14) so you will have to send/bring your entry to me before then. We have quite a few people who are eligible to go, and I hope we will be well represented, especially since we are one of the host clubs.

We really enjoyed Janet Green's demo on bas relief. Thinking what she did with a caulk gun could make re-caulking your bathtub or sink the inspiration for a brand new painting. Try something new this month—or maybe you had rather try something old. Cut folder paper snowflakes and stencil through them onto your canvas or paper. Use Elmer's glue as a resist and see what happens. Think about kindergarten or elementary school art. Make some fun paper. You can take chalk, such as Freeart, which is all pigment, scrape particles onto water in a flat pan, lay paper on top of it, and make beautiful designs for collage. Try making bas relief sculpture with a hot glue gun on paper and see what develops when you paint it.

Have a creative day!
Linda D.

LSAG forms will be attached to emails and can also be downloaded here.
