Hello artists.
We are winding down another year. Can you believe it? I don't want to wish my life away, but I am looking forward to a better 2008. This has been a hard year for Red and for me, so we definitely want to see better times.
I've done less art this year than anytime in a long while, so that is something I want to get back on a schedule with. I will write it on the calendar and DO IT! To heck with re-shelving books, running to the grocery store, cleaning a closet. Tuesday and Thursday will be sancrosanct! I'll go make marks on paper and shapes in clay. The more art you make, the more chance of creating a masterpiece.
The book ART AND FEAR, speaks of a class divided: one group was to make as many pots as possible for an A. The second group was to make the highest quality pot for an A. Turns out the group who made the most pots also made the best pots! They worked, observed, corrected, and improved. There is a lesson for us all. MAKE ALL THE ART YOU CAN!
Don't forget to bring LOTS of show and tell for the Christmas potluck dinner!
