Hello, artists.
It's a sad fact, but true, that summer will soon be over. We won't be having long days without structure as the fall comes upon us. Time to get busy once again!
We discussed the KAS finances at the board meeting for August. With the Kingwood Fine Art Festival no longer a major fund-raiser, we will have to explore new avenues, AND figure out some belt-tightening that we can do to keep our budget in control.
We also must be ready to assist Linda Hamilton in any way possible.
She is our LSAG V.P. in charge of Convention arrangements, and she will be calling upon us for help in setting up and running the LSAG 2008 Convention and Competition. We need everyone to please pay dues and come to meetings prepared to make a contribution to KAS.
We're a wonderful group of people who are united in the common desire to make art. We are also so lucky to be able to do so.
So...get ready to make this a good year!
Thanks,
Linda D.
Your President
